Downsized is Jill Wilkinson's first novel, and it's about a man named John Sheppard who works in a stable career through the Ford Motor Company. He's unexpectedly laid off one afternoon, and as he drives home from work that day, he is carjacked, mugged, and left stranded in a dumpster.

In the months after the events, John suffers from repeated panic attacks that threaten the stability of his marriage, home, employment future, and faith.

The book is a great read for people following the Christian faith, those who are interested in how lay-offs affect people after the pink slip is given out, and how they manage to put themselves back together.

You can read more about the book at Wilkinson's web site, at wilkinsoncreations.com.
