I speak Thy name with whispering lips

And it flows like light between them,

Flowing backward and filling my soul

With loving warmth.

You are more than my light,

More than my hope,

And stonger than my pain.

I will be quiet and let Your loving warmth fill me

As my soul's eyes see You near.

I will be still and let Your love heal me

With love that is greater than all that I fear.

I'm just seeing your prayer (for Lion~*) for the first time tonight Barbie - and I'm in love with those last two lines...
I will be still and let Your love heal me

With love that is greater than all that I fear.

Thank you Lion, Ron, and David. I remember the day I wrote this and the love that filled me as I whispered His name. It is a love that can carry us through any difficulty if we will envelope ourselves in it.

Love,

I agree with Ron about the last two lines. ( thanks Davidf also!)

I literally had my mobility taken from me. Told I'd never walk again. That miraculous first step and how it occured was astounding!!! The start of a very looooong haul that isn't anywhere close to being over. No day isn't without tremedous difficulty... but wee bit by bit I no longer fear * never*... and accept that I simply will never be the same again.... not in body and most thankfully... not in soul either! This poem meant a great deal to me when Barbie posted it.... it means even more today and I'll bid you all goodnight and keep it resounding upon my soul... which definitely needs some of this divine stillness .
