a dark brooding sky to greet the eye
no birds chitter and fly
in their warm cosy nests
they perch down to rest.
their families all about them.

Ka huri taku reo ki te hiku o te ika
Ki te hiku o te rangi
Ki runga rawa e.
Ki a koutou kua
manaakitia i toku wairua
tena koutou katoa.

I turn my voice to the tip of the fish (North Island)
to the tip of the skie up above
to all of you wo have cared for my soul

Hello there my friend
warmest greetings to you
For some reason I have been finding myself lost
and I have reached back for the peak to help clear the fog from my path.
Rest well
Sleep tight
and You'll wake up
full of joy and light

Aloha LadyBird,
It's cool to see someone so in love with her beautiful island home.
I know how you feel. We are so blessed. I would love to visit New Zealand one day. I remember dancing one maori song in a polynesian show we used to do every night for a catamaran i worked on, it was "Haere Mai". I met one lady who used to go to my church who lived there and wanted to help me build a church there but we lost touch. I love the movie "Whale Rider". In fact, all the polynesian islands stir my soul.
Today the weather is beautiful, sunny, very light tradewinds, a few clouds, light blue water, aaahhhh. perfect for this moment. I appreciate moments like this when i can. It's spiritually refreshing for my soul. Enjoy your day.
Aloha ke Akua.

Kia Ora ((((kekoa))))

Mega thanx for your lovely greeting....and a warm welcome to Inspiration Peak!!! :)

Your island also sounds very beautiful and I appreciate you sharing a glimpse of your island life...I only know a couple of Hawaiian words....Aloha is one and Honi which I think is a Hawaiian kiss luv

And I did enjoy my day even if the weather was a bit crazy...Me and my dear friend Leonie ventured out to a posh restaurant....I had herb gnocci with walnuts, butternut pumpkin in a creamy sage sauce while Leonie had panfried snapper drizzled in olive oil on roast potato, sundried tomatoes, artichokes and caperberries with mayo on the fish...then to finish we got the dessert tasting platter for 2 with chocolate fondant cake (that was like a cake with a rich choc sauce inner) with orange sauce, amaretto & rhubarb apple crumble with vanilla anglaise sauce, pannacotta with a rosewater sweet sauce with biscotti and finally a trio of homemade sorbets (strawberry, banana & apricot and zesty lime) on tropical fruit salad with a piece of shortbread...mmmmmmmm delish to the max!!!!

Today I am just chilling out until this afternoon when I am going to visit some friends...

love & blessings

grey skies and crystal showers

Candles burn bright
out of hearing, out of sight
In the heart the give out light

And we give out love

Reading through the posts have made me smile

Good day one and all, the sun is shining on us today. I hear singing on the wind and my heart is light. My old account (m1le-st0nes) and I have yet to rectify our differences. He of course belongs to a different me. Sometimes I wish I were him again but today I am Ninbinz.

So, hellow Inspiration Peak. From a city they call Auckland I bid you hello.

I hope you're still around Ladybird.
Pure and simple....... is a good way to live
