A very beautiful and well written piece, though the following quote at the end of the poem almost begs the question as to who actually wrote it, for me at least. Was it inspired by the references given below?

No, George Krokos ... This poem begs NO questions as to who wrote it! This came straight out of my own heart and head and not from any other source thank you very much! I'd never put my name to something I did not originally write.

I've never read the novel that the quote is from.... The quote was only that... a quote I'd read and put in as an after thought because it made sense to me.
