Little child

Little child do not cry
And forget those things that make you high.
Life is challenge that you must face
Gather your strength and finish the race.

Little child do not fear
There are those that hold you dear.
They may not be family in name
But they love you just the same.

Little child do not give in to anger
Or you will place yourself in danger.
Listen to the words of those that care
And all tribulations you will successfully bare.

Little child do not weep
Close your eyes and go to sleep.
Dream of a brighter tomorrow
And forget all your deep-seated sorrow.

Little child forget your troubled rage
Learn to grow and turn the page.
An angel will come to wipe your tear
Look around for she is near.

Little child learn to fly
Muster your courage and attempt to try.
Your future is waiting in the distance
This life you live need not be a prison sentence.

Little child now you have learnt
The walls of the past you have burnt.
You conquered your demons that lurked in the shadows
Happiness and success are sure to follow.
You’ve let go of all that hurt
You are no longer someone else’s dirt.

Grow strong and continue to fight
You will go well into the night.
Remember, to succeed you must rage
Flip the script and turn your life’s page…
