One day I’ll run,
Run on and be free,

I, who stalked a star
From a den of shadows

I, who fell and fell again,
But was never content
To be ‘less than’,

I, who screamed and wept,
And sang my songs to
Untamed skies

One day I’ll run,
Run into the arms of music,

And wild harmony will carry
All that’s broken in me,
A painted offering
To the doorstep of the Beloved

And with soft eyes,
I will step out
onto the back of a white wind
And run,

Run home to myself,
Where winged rhythm
calls my name,

And love weaves an azure dream,
In the shadowed footprints of
freedom

Your words always mean a great deal to me.

I was a little frustrated as my lack of technological savvy meant that i couldnt format this piece the way I'd have liked to...

Ideally Its meant to be read in the context of a piece of music, and the lines 'centred' but i couldnt work out how to do either here

lol

I've posted it on my blog the way I imagined it....

Hey Maithri!

There's no need to be concerned about your level of 'savvyness' ... it's just that right now the software doesn't offer us a way to center text. I'm going to look for a workaround and will keep you posted.

(The poem is absolutely beautiful, btw. ;-)

PS: I noticed you posted an Australian You Tube video ... in order to make the video show up in the forum all you have to do is change the 'au' in the address to 'www'. ;-)

oh my, reading that has given me such chills!!! your words are so incredibly inspiring, I feel blessed for having read them. there is such amazing imagery here...oh my goodness! I actually want to go and run right now...couldn't watch the link because my connection is too slow....but your divine poem was enough.
