During the night the storm arrived
Lightning streaked through the sky
Pelting of deafening red-hot gushes
Stealing the last light from my eyes
Flickers designed in the firmament
Silence descended within bedlam
Its roar fierce and furious as a tiger
Lost soul locked in a gilded cage
The demon, with the key in hand
Stared at the gate for an instant
Its glance withering the metal
Breaking the rusty and primal seal
It stretched its fiery, scorching hand
A strong wind lifted delicate feathers
The heat released and spread the wings
A single movement bright as sunshine
The angel lifted its eyes to the sky
A single tear slid upon its cheek to the soil
Pain painted its quivering mouth
The scream died in its throat
As the claw tore and its blood gushed
Black as puce
It spurt from its chest
Its cloth vermillion
Many tears followed
So much that the rain
Quenched itself upon its voice
Echoing in thunder its departure
