Intricacy

Time
inches us closer together
like a needle and thread
binding smoothly the edges
of fine silk with gold braid
creating a garment
of beauty and warmth
that causes one to gasp
when seeing the intricacy
of delicate stitches so fine
making you wonder if it is possible
for human hands to have sewn them
and knowing all too well
that the substance is far beyond human endeavor
