I am black

by the colour of my skin to such shame.

I build you railroads and teach you freedom

insult

When I was a small girl being taught how ALL people came from Adam and Eve and so we had to have a bit of every nation in us.... I assumed all the dark moles I had were proof that there was African geneology somewhere back in my family tree and after watching Roots I truly hoped so! But later I also longed to belong to Sacajawea or Tecumseh and Rob Roy of Scotland and Brian Boru the Lion of Ireland! It's the soul that captures my attention... not the skin tone... though some peoples are simply stunning to look upon!

Lakawanna Blues is a fabulous true story I just watched on tv. Made me very proud of a vibrant life changing woman. I'd be deeply proud to be in her linage! But you know... somehow from all the mixing of hearts and bodies since Adam and Eve... I most likely am! I've always wondered about all these beauty spots

May it be a very worthy and altering Black History Month and not just a "theme" on a calendar!

Your poem is difficult because it was true and for too many still is. It's obscene how people have filled the earth with their shameful malice through all the various forms. " What every person desires is unfailing love" Proverbs. If only.........
