Breathings of My heart

They say a poem's not really a poem until you share it with someone else. And that's what this place is all about.

Breathings of My Heart

Grant that I may often see the beauty of the stars,
and the soft, soothing way that the wind caress my skin
and dances with my hair.

Bless dear God that my thoughts be not so occupied
by the clamor and noisy confusion of so much busyness -
rather awaken my spirit to find deeper peace in You.

May my waking moments at dawn burn within me
to commune with You, my Ultimate Soul-lover.

May I find respite in the knowledge of your untiring
love that never goes off through changing seasons.

Let my soul find You, again and again and rush to
embrace and never let You go.

May every sigh, every breathing moment become
a prayer,-- not for me dear God, but for those I love
so dearly.

And may I rejoice in the knowledge that no one,
nothing in this world will ever satisfy me,
nor complete me, but only You dear God ...
the purest lover of my soul!
