The Ghost of Today

They say a poem's not really a poem until you share it with someone else. And that's what this place is all about.

The man or woman you met yesterday
Is different from the ghost you met today
The difference lies in the transition
From one state to the other

An intriguing piece, although a bit vague; seemed like a first draft; here's how I viewed it:

The man or woman you met yesterday
is different from the ghost you meet today;

the primary difference lies in the transition
between the states of spiritual condition.

Why a ghost?

Alive yesterday.... met again today..... but in ghost form.... that is indeed a huge transition and a very mortal, immortal condition.

I don't believe I quite understand what it is you are trying to say, though I would like to.

A sad but powerful truth.

We may never get a chance to do anything we put off from today because 'we can always do it tomorrow'

Very apt @Lifeboat. Thanks

Things change, so do people. Change happens in minute or mega forms @ Lion. It will be unwise to ignore these changes. Thanks.

They most certainly do 2tait..... and no, they cannot be ignored at all. I tend to feel more alive than in yesterdays....with wise choices no matter how abrupt and altering change is...not becoming a ghost of who I was.... I feel much more maturing into the woman I've always been! It's more like going from ghost into vital living... perhaps because of the haunting of what is past!
