A Winter Night"s Dream

They say a poem's not really a poem until you share it with someone else. And that's what this place is all about.

Listening to the growling wind
plummeting snow flakes
all around, leaving no shadows behind
and inch by inch snow makes mounds
like furry hills
the hills rise in silence
blanketing driveways and highways
I seek a moment to tug at my drapes
and watch the flurries
greet me at the window
I smile, literally rising to the occasion
with my glass of red wine
like a winter fetish
just to keep me warm
until the night is over
sweet dreams.

Dear Leonard,

I much enjoyed reading this Winter poem and I was drawn into the atmosphere. Very beautiful indeed!
