*WHY do you care? He responds ... Because God set you on my path.
Four White Feathers
Be it the waves of cowardice,
or the waves of remorse,
or the waves of hope that speed these thoughts?
Though my fears have overcome me,
they have not driven me to desperation;
rather they have driven me back to my faith.
The long hard march
through the pain and suffering,
through the heat of the battles,
has burned the dross from my heart,
has made my soul resilient,
and my faith the rock I stand upon.
The bond of friendship
is the only lasting measure that redeems
the world through the storms;
for upon friendship is built trust,
and affection and even love...
The lubricity of forgiveness given without request
facilitates this bond.
This bond holds our souls together when the light appears extinguished,
when pride hardens our hearts,
and hope wavers in the harsh winds of indifference.
Like a seed that must be released from it's comfort,
from it's stasis,
and it's prison,
it must receive the release by the flame
and nourishment from the ashes of it's prison transmuted.
This flame lies small and still yet strong in our hearts,
unless we deign to willingly extinguish it.
No torment shall be worse than this prideful self-immolation
of the soul.
Even angels cry out if this occurs.
Though I fear and suffer,
I am made whole again…
I was not made without purpose
and the divine spark that was struck in my heart,
comes from the same flame as yours,
If there be a valley,
then there must be a summit,
and to reach that summit,
we must tread step by step the path
to where the air is clear
and the vision is succinct.
When we have reached the summit,
we too shall know
how all shall dance and rejoice
on the head of a pin,
or on the tableau of the cosmos.
Though I may stumble,
if I can get back up
I will and if I lose grasp of your hand,
I shall reach out for it again!
In my heart,
I know that the tears of pain
shall be replaced
by the tears
for you have
come back to me
and I to you…
shall spoil my heart
and no tantrum split asunder,
that which was ordained by our hearts;
before the test became
have you heard my call?
I await an answer,
even unto death itself.
*Thank you Lion.
