Who we be

They say a poem's not really a poem until you share it with someone else. And that's what this place is all about.

POEM OF THE DAY
WHO WE BE
© 2015 Frederick J. Cowie
Who we are
Who we be
Is shaped by the travails
The pain
The suffering
Which we have endured
Survived
But not put behind us
Just within us
Scarred over
Never healed

Yes, nerve damage within a scar is permanent. Thankfully, unlike the physical body... the soul can ( perhaps not always) strengthen with a healthy, honest perspective in spite of the many tumults endured.
Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart...William Wordsworth

Follow your honest convictions, and stay strong. - William Thackeray

The bottom line, especially for my character,
is the issue of unconditional love.”
Matthew Weeden
