Transition

Changes come into life
And stand quietly beside me.
There is neither beck nor a call.
They simply tread in
Softly from the back door
Asking me to embrace them –
Changes – inside and out.
Endings and beginnings,
The old and the new.
I let go of the past gently,
Learning and unlearning
On the way,
And make space
For the future to step in.
It is a strange transition indeed
For the old has made me
What I am today.
And the new will shape up
All that I could be.
It is a strange farewell –
To the simple things in life,
To what I had taken for granted,
To friends, to carefree days,
To old lanes, even the weather.
To moments of togetherness,
They have become special today
As I see them all
From a new perspective.
And yet I carry them all
Treasured in a corner of my heart
To be cherished as memories.
Life seems to have reached a full circle,
One of many I believe.
All I have ever given
Love and understanding,
Seems to come back to me, galore.
I wait patiently for this
Transition to take place.
It shall not be simple,
It was never meant to be.
The final parting will be painful
But there is joy the other side too.
A nest of my own in a distant land,
Waiting to be sown,
By pairs of loving hands.
People –waiting to be embraced.
All of whom I was supposed to meet
By a strange quirk of fate.
So a prayer of gratitude and trust
I whisper to my angels.
And I hear their words of wisdom,
Of reassurance and much love.
There is peace in their guidance.
As I lay down my head to sleep
For now
I realise this is the so-called thin line
Between an ending and
Another beginning.
Days, in between the old and the new.
I embrace them all
With open arms,
As I live yet another day as it comes.

Love,
Indrani ;)

Oh (((((Indrani)))))) you really need an embrace of warmth to enfold you! The days behind and ahead... they are so full and amazing for you... and yes... also just a tad daunting :? :^ and emotionally draining.
Life seems to have reached a full circle
The reassurance is that a circle is inclusive... no breaks.... and you can draw it as tight or wide as you want it to be! Unending, unbending... unbroken. I know your write is very very personal about your own footstep journey... but your words conjure up visions of my own past and hope for tomorrow and indeed... the glory of this day! I am so glad that our circles in this lovely place have met.... circles do indeed link together creating a strength and unity that binds and encourages our journey on!

Your words are very touching, dear Indrani. And you show such a deep sensitivity. Changes are challenges, not always easy to cope with, but your attitude is wise and your Angels will stay always by your side.

Love and trust.
