Do you laugh at least once every day? smile colgate biggrin tongue

Because laughter is great medicine for the soul ... I am sure all can agree that no matter a given situation... if one can laugh... somehow joys are greater, sorrows lighter and darkness clears like a parting cloud!

A good, real, unrestrained, hearty laugh is a sort of glorified internal massage, performed rapidly and automatically. It manipulates and revitalizes corners and unexplored crannies of the system that are unresponsive to most other exercise methods. ~Author unknown

At the height of laughter, the universe is flung into a kaleidoscope of new possibilities. ~Jean Houston

Laughter is an instant vacation. ~Milton Berle

Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward. ~Kurt Vonnegut

With the fearful strain that is on me night and day, if I did not laugh I should die. ~Abraham Lincoln

So many tangles in life are ultimately hopeless that we have no appropriate sword other than laughter. ~Gordon W. Allport

And I especially like this one!!! tongue

Laughter is the corrective force which prevents us from becoming cranks. ~Henri Bergson

So today... if you have had something to laugh about please do share it with us... laughter ... there can never be too much of it!

I love this idea!

Something that made me laugh the other day... I was at my doctor's office and saw this sign on the front door....

If you are grouchy, irritable or just plain mean there will be a $10 charge for putting up with you.

And I know this one's a little twisted... but it cracks me up too:

Gaelic Blessing

May those who love us, love us.
And those that don't love us, may God turn their hearts;
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles
So we'll know them by their limping.

Wishing all of us many good laughs!! colgate

biggrin Those are great Ron!

I have teenage sons who make me laugh near every day. My 15 yr old is very mischievious and loves to "scare" me. Well yesterday we got home later than the bus and my son while waiting fell asleep on the garden swing. So I did the only thing I could think of... I went BBBBWWWAAAHHHHHH!!!! really LOUD!!! He jumped and had slobber all over I scared him so badly! Meanwhile I had 2 other boys standing there howling with laughter! !

He on the other hand considered it brilliant taking my youngest son's homemade popsicle out of the container... smothering it with dish soap and refreezing it. Then awaiting the little brother's reaction to his... yummm .... tongue popsicle!

Everything is funny as long as it is happening to somebody else.

I used to cry at troubling times but I have since realized what is the point of crying?

Tomorrow is a new day and fresh beginnings, there is always a beginning and an end to something and even with troubled times they never last forever.

So I have learnt to turn my tears into laughter and it really helps to pull you through smile

Received this in my mail today... biggrin confused which are you?

A family had twin boys whose only resemblance to each other
was their looks. If one felt it was too hot, the other
thought it was too cold. If one said the TV was too loud, the
other claimed the volume needed to be turned up. Opposite in
every way, one was an eternal optimist, the other a doom &
gloom pessimist.

Just to see what would happen, on the twins' birthday their
father loaded the pessimist's room with every imaginable toy
and game. The optimist's room he loaded with horse manure.

That night the father passed by the pessimist's room and
found him sitting amid his new gifts crying bitterly.

"Why are you crying?" the father asked.

"Because my friends will be jealous, I'll have to read all
these instructions before I can do anything with this stuff,
I'll constantly need batteries, and my toys will eventually
get broken." answered the pessimist twin.

Passing the optimist twin's room, the father found him
dancing for joy in the pile of manure. "What are you so
happy about?" he asked.

To which his optimist twin replied, "There's got to be a
pony in here somewhere!"

I wouldn't be looking for the pony... I would be spreading it on my garden in the spring for lovely blossoms and thus make it all smell... much better!!!! wink

Take care that the face that looks out from the mirror in the morning is a pleasant face. You may not see it again during the day, but others will.
