I invent my own
life
every day, every moment,
every action and reaction.
I know that I choose where
I am, who I am with and
who I am not with,
what I do with the hours of
my own life.
I think of myself as a creator
not a consumer.
For I believe the earth needs
fewer of us to plunder
and consume her
and more of us to love her
and to love each other,
More of us who know how
to plant good seeds
and to harvest them
and to share them.
I am more interested
in what I can create
than what I can consume.
In what I can share than
in what I can own.
In living my own life
rather than viewing others
on tv or on the big screen.
I do not admire products
or people
because they are
hyped by the media.
I think for myself and choose
my own heroes.
My goal is to be one of them.
