Just a short note to thank you for this wonderful webiste.

I look forward to your quotes every day. You keep reminding me to keep trying to be the person I want to be. You help me to see the good in the world and not focus on the bad.

We are here for such a short time, I must strive to be the best that I can be and appreciate the love and care that I have around me and not take anything for granted.

Thank you for helping me do this.

"Seeing is believing." I start to believe again when I see the wonderful quotes that serve as a reminder that people are good beings and thus making reality manageable and pretty again. Thank you for letting me see this side of life whenever darkness tries to seep into every corner of my mind.

It was four years ago that I knew this site. It has been long time since I heard it from my professor. One day, I saw you in my E-mail that has been old. Your essay strikes my inner part. I remember your precious story. Thanks a lot, Really...

Dear Ron
I wrote to you back in March of 2001. I had just lost a sister. I ask you then for some writings on death and dying. You directed me to that page and i found a poem that talked about not grieving doe the person, but remember my laughter. I can not sem to find those reading tonight.
I have now lost my younger brother last night on December 9th. His passing was very sudden and i was hoping to find those words again.
Thank you
Sincerely
Marie

Perhaps this is the poem you are looking for?

“Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner. All is well." - Henry Scott Holland

We need inspiration to remind us to hold on, to be grateful for what we have, remember that we hold more power inside us than anything else in the world, that the person called 'I' is the best person there is in the world. All these are required when we have nothing else, nothing by our side, nothing on behalf of us and nothing for us..........
