Thank you for all the inspiration when I've been at the botton. When my kitties have passed away, and all the other catastrophies in my life.
God Bless. Cindi

I've been up, down; loved, betrayed; praised, insulted; happy, sad. I've been alive and sometimes more dead than a doormat. But I'm still breathing and taking everything life has to offer. I've enjoyed receiving quotes from Inspiration Peak and it may have helped me one way or another. After all, we are shaped by what we absorb and I think I've soaked up a lot of the remarkable words from this site. Thank you. I believe that somewhere in between you might have saved my life.

Inspiration Peak is my daily dose of inspiration. Poetry and music (which are one in the same to me)are my passion, my release. A lot of the poetry/songs come to me in dreams. I get up in the middle of the night and write what's in my head. This was one of those nights, so I'll share it with you:

THE JOURNEY

I don't really know how I got here,
but this seems to be the end.
I have both feet hanging
off the edge of a road that
drops straight down to nowhere.
Is this what I came all this way for?

Did this journey have no meaning?
All this pain, so much pain,
so many mountains, so many falls.

A little girl, so torn apart.
A young woman,
a trampled, bleeding heart.
A scared mother, hides her face.
Prescious little angels
God's saving grace.
Faith, unwaivering faith - for this?

I always knew the tears,
the blood, the scars
would have a reason - have a plan
when the journey came full circle.
I always knew I'd find the answers
to all the "why"s of that wounded girl.

But as I stand here at the journey's end
so many "what if"s, so many regrets
so many roads not taken,
so many taken I want to forget,
my head is swirling
This is it? - All my faith, for naught.
All my faith - for what?

And then the road gives way beneath my feet
The haunting darkness envelopes me,
but slowly, as I look down I see
what seemed to be the end of the road
was actually my beginning.
And from behind, there comes a light -
so bright, so blinding - fills my soul
with music indescribable
and in that moment.....

All the "why"s had meaning,
all the pain made sense -
Nothing had been coincidence.
Oh yes, all my faith - for this.
All of my faith - for bliss.
And suddenly, I turned around -
and there You were.

The journey had been worth it.

The movement of a single pebble changes the shape and form of the entire beach, forever.
The birth of a single baby changes the shape and form of the entire human race, forever.
That baby was you.
